EGEL warmly welcomed Assistant Professor Nicolas Espinoza from the Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin for a three week stay. Assistant Professor Espinoza collaborated closely with Professor Santamarina on papers related to CO2 geological storage. His extended stay provided all members of our group with the opportunity to share their research with Dr Espinoza and to benefit from his experience. Dr Espinoza presented at the Earth Science and Engineering Seminar on “Coupled Chemo-Mechanical Processes in Geosystems.”
