EGEL hosted Assistant Professor Tae-Hyuk Kwon from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, KAIST for a short visit in February. Dr. Kwon worked closely with his student Dong-Hwa Noh – a KAUST Visiting Student, to finalize his research with EGEL and collaborated with Professor Santamarina. He also presented a seminar entitled the ‘Propagation of hydraulic fractures in ductile elastic and two dimensionally confined plate media’.
